About Us

Our Story

Our story began with a boy, who was the kid in the classroom to offer academic help to his peers who were struggling with homework and comprehension. As he grew older, he began tutoring children with learning disabilities and behavior challenges which eventually drew him to get a license as a special education teacher in the state of New York.

At that time, he was exposed to many developmental, behavioral, and academic deficits, and made it his mission to help as many challenged children as he could.

He trained and got his BCBA and LBA, acquiring tools that would help him in the special education classroom,  working with families of children with special needs, and providing help and guidance.

After a while, he opened his very own private practice and imparted all his clinical learning to a dedicated group of people who became his expert, devoted staff. That is how Momentum was born.

Our Mission

Momentum’s mission is also its passion. A passion focused on helping as many children as possible, providing them with the vital tools and training to lead an independent and successful life, overcome their developmental gaps and blend into society socially.

Our Values

Momentum wasn’t founded by profit-minded Wall Street investors but by a special ed teacher and a licenced behaviour analyst, with clinical expertise and an interest only in helping children with special needs, and their families. At Momentum, we put each child’s health first, as well as making the parents feel supported and understood as a priority.

Momentum is committed to providing services and conducting our business with the highest levels of integrity. To that end, we have developed a compliance program aimed at detecting and preventing fraud, waste and abuse of the Medicaid program. If you suspect that an employee or affiliate of Momentum Behavior Care has engaged in activity that constitutes fraud, waste or abuse, please contact our Compliance and Ethics department at: compliance@mbclba.com or telephone (845) 200-3221.
